Special Economic Zone "Information Technology Park" is situated in the suburbs of Almaty, created by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 18, 2003 № 1166. Opening of SEZ PIT was held in September 2006 with established long-term benefits.

- absence of customs duties on imported and exported goods.

Park of Information Technologies Alatau IT City, acting as a special economic zone ( hereinafter-Park) was created by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 18 August in 2003. #1166. President of the RK participated himself to open complex of the first phase construction on 15 September 2006. Customer construction and property owner of the complex is JSC Engineering and Technology Transfer Centre, which transmitted to “Alatau IT City Management” its authorized operation and management ( agreement on trust management from 24.07.2007). Alatau IT City Management Ltd ( hereinafter- Company)was created in October 2005 ( initial naming was “Managing Company on Information Technologies”) in order to realize managing operations as subsidiary company of “National Innovation Fund” that holds 100% part in the Company. On 7 February, 100% transfer of the share was implemented to the Company from JSC “National Innovation Fund” to the JSC “Engineering and Technology Transfer Centre. At present, the Company is acting as a managing company of existing property complex of the Park.
