15 - 16 March, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov
organized Kazakhstan Conference on Islamic Finance 2010, which
was attended by over 200 representatives of Kazakhstani business,
national companies and government agencies.
Statutory partners - the Ministry of Industry and new
technologies of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Development Bank.
In light of the Presidential Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan
"new decade - a new economic boom - new opportunities in
Kazakhstan," in which the Head of State said: "Kazakhstan in
2020 to become regional hub for Islamic financing in the CIS.
This event is organized on the initiative of the Government of
the Republic of Kazakhstan, promises to become the largest
annual platform for Islamic finance in Central Asia.
For the first time in Kazakhstan profits of Islamic financial
market regulators, bankers and consultants from Bahrain, Saudi
Arabia, UAE and Malaysia, who will discuss the opportunities and
obstacles for promotion of Islamic finance Kazakh companies with
government, financial institutions of Kazakhstan.
